IT Network Engineer

Job Summary

To design, implement, secure, and maintain Credit Direct Ltd’s network and infrastructure environment, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, scalability, and compliance with regulatory and internal security standards. The role supports business continuity, secure financial operations, and digital transformation initiatives across the organization.

Job Details

Network Infrastructure Management:

• Designs, implements, and maintains the organization’s LAN, WAN, wireless, and VPN infrastructure to ensure secure and reliable connectivity across all locations. Design the network and system architecture.

IT Infrastructure & Systems Support:

• Provides technical support for network-related systems and infrastructure, ensuring servers and connected services operate efficiently and with minimal downtime.

Network Security & Access Control:

• Implements and enforces network security controls, including firewalls, access policies, and monitoring, to protect systems, data, and financial operations from threats.

Enterprise Connectivity & Availability Management:

• Ensures high availability of network services through proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and timely resolution of connectivity issues.

Incident Management & Service Continuity:

• Responds to and resolves network incidents within agreed SLAs, supporting business continuity and minimizing operational disruptions.

Cloud Network Management and Security:

• Designs and secures AWS network infrastructure utilizing ALB/NLB for traffic distribution and AWS Network Firewall combined with Security Groups for multi-layered threat protection and traffic inspection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline. 
• Relevant professional certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, or equivalent are an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2–5 years hands-on experience in network engineering and IT infrastructure within an enterprise or financial services environment.

Technical Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs). 
• Experience with firewalls, network security, and monitoring tools. 
• Understanding of cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments. 
• Incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills. 
• Documentation and configuration management 
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline. 
• Relevant professional certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, or equivalent are an added advantage. 
• Oversees the deployment and optimization of cloud-native networking services, including Application and Network Load Balancers, network security (SG, NACLs, AWS WAF and AWS Firewall)
